Description:
Extremely rare natural red and blue-gray agate, which is sugar-coated with amethyst crystals. The agate is up to 15/16 cm thick in the front and up to 30 cm on the sides. On top of the agate sits a layer of rock crystal about 3 cm thick on which in turn a thin layer of amethyst about 1 cm thick has grown. In several places sit pretty calcite crystal groups, which in turn are partly sugar-coated with small quartz crystals containing goethite. The stone has a very nice overall shape and the red agates make a great contrast to the amethyst. The amethyst looks brighter than it really is, as the bright rock crystal shines out from under the amethyst. The amethyst is partially grown in "hedgehog" curves, but this is hard to see in the pictures.
