Description:

This mysterious very clear phantom crystal shows itself to the observer when the light comes from the front as a smoky quartz. Only when the crystal is illuminated from below, the amethyst shows itself in all its purple and pink color variations and also citrine appears. The crystal contains several perfect phantom crystals consisting of multiple layers and has triangular inclusions. The layers consist of smoky "mists" and there are many small very clear rock crystals grown in the crystal as double tenders or in Herkimer "diamond" crystal form. The crystal contains large and small moving water bubbles in several places. It is estimated that the water in the crystal is about 200 million years old. The water bubbles can move several centimeters in the crystal. The photos show the crystal from all sides. The base was cut to make the top stand up better, and the faces were lightly polished because the crystals from Madagascar almost always have a dull surface due to encrustations of other minerals or metal oxides (iron and manganese). Without polishing, the encrustations would not come off and the dull areas would remain opaquely dull. One can look into the phantom crystal from all sides.
