In this beautiful couch or side table, a petrified wood slice from Arizona has been hand framed in black stained cherry wood. This takes several days to weeks to complete. The petrified wood slice is a coniferous tree, an Araucaria about 220 million years old from the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. This wood slice has only been diamond cut, sanded and polished, not painted. It is the original stone surface, which is extremely scratch resistant. All colors are naturally created, nothing here has been dyed or treated. The colors are completely naturally created, by inclusions of iron and manganese.
