Description:

This petrified wood slice is a deciduous tree, a magnolia about 65 million years old from the petrified forest in Java in Indonesia. This wooden disc was only cut with diamond, sanded and polished, not varnished. It is the original stone surface, which is extremely scratch resistant. All colors have been created naturally, nothing has been dyed or treated here. The bark structure is still present all around. The colors are completely natural, due to inclusions of iron and manganese. The petrified tree contains all kinds of minerals and quartz gemstones such as agate, jasper, opal, milk opal, carnelian, calcedon, rock crystal, smoky quartz, amethyst as well as calcite. The photos are taken with much and with little light. Depending on the light, the colors come out differently. We get our minerals, fossils and crystals directly from the mines, directly from the people who dig the stones. We regularly visit mines in person several times a year. In the mines where our crystals are found, we guarantee that there is no child labor and we take care to protect our employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners receive a fair price for their crystals. The petrified wood was cut and polished in Europe.
