This mysterious, very clear twin crystal consists of a smoky quartz and a rock crystal that have grown together. The smoky quartz contains long greenish-brownish tourmaline crystals, which are distributed in all directions in the smoky quartz. The base has been cut to allow the tip to stand up better and the faces have been lightly polished, as the crystals from Madagascar almost always have a matt surface due to encrustations of other minerals or metal oxides (iron and manganese). Without polishing, the encrustations would not come off and the dull areas would remain dull and opaque. You can look into the crystals from all sides, the photos show the crystal from all sides. We get our crystals straight from the mines, straight from the people who dig up the stones. We regularly visit mines in person several times a year. In the mines where our crystals are found, there is guaranteed no child labor and we pay attention to the protection of our employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners get a fair price for their crystals.
