Description:
A large tourmaline crystal weighing several kilograms was cut into slices about 5 mm thin and placed in a black mount. The slices are backlit and show great greenish, yellowish and brownish triangles and other different geometric formations in different shades. Tourmalines of this size are very rare and are virtually never found or offered these days. This crystal here was discovered about 35 years ago in Madagascar. We get our crystals directly from the mines, directly from the people who dig the stones. We personally visit mines several times a year on a regular basis. In the mines where our crystals are found, we guarantee there is no child labor and we take care to protect the employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners receive a fair price for their crystals.
