Description: Great pair of amethyst druses in the best color from Uruguay. The inner rim is made of rock crystal and blue agate, it has been cut and polished, the outer rim is made of volcanic basalt. The large crystals have a great, deep dark purple color, they sparkle and shine beautifully and have not been processed. The amethyst gland is an approx. 100 million year old gas bubble from a volcano.
We obtain our amethyst and citrine glands and crystals directly from the mines, directly from the people who dig up the stones. We regularly visit mines in person several times a year. In the mines where our crystals are found, there is guaranteed to be no child labor and we pay attention to the protection of the employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners receive a fair price for their crystals.
