This is the best citrine smoky quartz crystal in color, size and clarity we have ever had in 30 years. In the top 40% of the crystal, the top is very clear, has incredible deep color for this size crystal, and has great inclusions, some of which show a shimmer in all the colors of the rainbow. The inclusions sometimes look like mysterious nebulae of small water or air bubbles or one feels reminded of structures from outer space, as they are known from pictures taken by the Hubble telescope. In the lower part, the top becomes a bit more milky in some places and turns into smoky quartz (smoky rock crystal). The crystal was cut at the end where it had grown, that it stands securely by itself. We get our crystals directly from the mines, directly from the people who dig the stones. We personally visit mines several times a year on a regular basis. In the mines where our crystals are found, we guarantee that there is no child labor and we take care to protect the employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners receive a fair price for their crystals.
