Description: Fantastically beautiful fuchsite sphere, cut in Germany, with a diameter of 40 cm and a weight of 80 kg. The sphere has a fantastic color, a beautiful structure and is absolutely unique.
Fuchsite is a mica containing chromium. This stone is a variety of the shiny silicate mineral muscovite, whereby the beautiful green coloration of fuchsite is caused by the chromium it contains. The green, always silvery shimmering stones are often softer than muscovite or biotite. It stands for protection and self-determination. Even today, green pigment is still extracted from fuchsite for use in paints.
We obtain our amethyst druses and crystals directly from the mines, directly from the people who excavate the stones. We regularly visit mines in person several times a year. In the mines where our crystals are found, there is guaranteed to be no child labor and we pay attention to the protection of the employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners receive a fair price for their crystals.
