This is the best citrine crystal in color, size and clarity we have ever had in 30 years. A gorgeous one of a kind piece. In the top 40% of the crystal, the top is very clear, has incredible deep color for this size crystal, and has great inclusions that show a shimmer in all the colors of the rainbow. In the lower area, the top becomes a bit more milky in places and transitions into rock crystal and smoky rock crystal (smoky quartz). In the middle the crystal is also still very clear and becomes lighter in color. It is quasi divided into three parts by the color. In the whole rock crystal area there are up to 15 cm long, needle-like ingrown black tourmaline crystals and silvery white rutile needles. The crystal stands in a wheeled and illuminated wooden stand carved with floral motifs on casters, which is included. For the photos it was illuminated with light from different sides and from below. One can, of course, remove the crystal from the wooden base.
Such crystals are not offered on the mineral market in Europe for years, because they have become extremely rare and expensive. In Brazil smaller citrines with comparable color cost us in the purchase from the mine meanwhile between 800 and 1,000 dollars per kilo. Only in the USA and China are customers still willing to pay such prices. We buy our crystals directly from the mines, directly from the people who dig the stones. We regularly visit mines in person several times a year. In the mines where our crystals are found, we guarantee that there is no child labor and we take care to protect the employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners receive a fair price for their crystals.
