This ammonite has all the characteristics, why colorful Canadian ammonites are known worldwide and are so valuable. A dream piece in any home, office or the entrance area of a beautiful villa or company. The ammonite was found in a shale-like clayey parent rock and is about 65 million years old. The pictures show the front and back side.

The ammolite is a rare opalescent gemstone. It is found mainly on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains and consists of the fossil remains of ammonites. Ammolite is composed primarily of opal aragonite, which comes directly from the original nacre in the shells of ammonites. Ammolite is considered the rarest organic gemstone. In its rough state, it trades at prices ranging from $30 to $65 per carat ($150-325/gram).

The stone is also used in Feng Shui. It is said to have the power to increase well-being and detoxify the body by improving the flow of energy chi. A combination of ruby red, emerald green and amber yellow is therefore highly sought after, the colors are said to promote growth, wisdom and health.

We source our crystals directly from the mines, directly from the people who dig the stones. We personally visit mines several times a year on a regular basis. In the mines where our crystals are found, we guarantee there is no child labor and we take care to protect our employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners receive a fair price for their crystals.
