Description: Very nice decorative amethyst heart from Brazil with super beautiful strong, dark purple colored amethyst crystals. The rim is made of green/brown agate , the back is made of volcanic rock called basalt. _On the back are very fine, light gray quartz crystals. The rim has been cut and polished, the crystals are uniform in size, sparkle and glow strongly and have not been worked. The amethyst comes from an approximately 100 million year old gas bubble from a volcano. We get our amethyst druses and crystals directly from the mines, directly from the people who dig the stones. We personally visit mines several times a year on a regular basis. In the mines where our crystals are found, we guarantee that there is no child labor and we take care to protect our employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners receive a fair price for their crystals.
