Description:

Great opalescent piece of ammolite. The colors are completely natural and glow spectacularly. It is characterized by red-orange and various shades of green, as well as yellow spots and, depending on the angle, blue tones. The color of the ammolite changes at different viewing angles. This is a dream piece in any home and makes an excellent gift.

Ammolite is a rare opalescent gemstone. It is mainly found on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains and consists of the fossilized remains of ammonites. Ammolite consists mainly of opal aragonite, which comes directly from the original mother-of-pearl in the shells of ammonites. Ammolite is considered the rarest organic gemstone. In its rough state, it is traded at prices ranging from 30 to 65 USD per carat (150-325 $/gram).

The stone is also used in feng shui. It is said to have the power to increase well-being and detoxify the body by improving the flow of chi energy. A combination of ruby red, emerald green and amber yellow is therefore highly sought after, as the colors are said to promote growth, wisdom and health.

We source our crystals directly from the mines, directly from the people who dig up the stones. We regularly visit mines in person several times a year. In the mines where our crystals are found, there is guaranteed to be no child labor and we pay attention to the protection of the employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners receive a fair price for their crystals.
