Very nice heart of deep purple amethyst from Uruguay, exceptionally nice quality. Very large, beautifully sparkling crystals. The back is natural and consists of original volcanic rock called basalt. The edge has been cut and polished, the crystals inside are natural and have not been processed. The piece comes from an approximately 100 million year old gas bubble of a volcano.
We get our geodes and crystals straight from the mines, straight from the people who dig up the rocks. We regularly visit mines in person several times a year. In the mines where our crystals are found, there is guaranteed no child labor and we pay attention to the protection of our employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners get a fair price for their crystals.
