From the color and shape very beautiful dark natural amethyst druse from Uruguay. The rim is made of rock crystal and natural blue-green agate, the back is made of volcanic rock called basalt. The rim has been cut and polished, the crystals inside, quite large for Uruguay amethysts, glitter and shine strongly and have not been worked. The amethyst druse is a gas bubble from a volcano about 100 million years old. The large calcite passes through the druse and can also be seen on the back side. We get our amethyst druses and crystals directly from the mines, directly from the people who dig the stones. We personally visit mines several times a year on a regular basis. In the mines where our crystals are found, we guarantee there is no child labor and we take care to protect the employees. We have documented this in a film that is regularly shown in the museum. The miners receive a fair price for their crystals.
