Original hand-cut jade Buddha made of nephrite jade in China. The nephrite jade for this Buddha was found in Canada. The rough stone weighed about 300 kg. The color is completely natural. Nothing was dyed or painted. The Buddah was only cut and polished. In one hand he holds the Chinese gold bar for wealth and in the other hand a lute, a musical instrument. The laughing potbellied Buddha stands for wealth (big belly) and prosperity, but also for spiritual wealth. According to tradition, one should stroke his belly to also achieve prosperity and wealth. If one strokes him over the head, one hopes for spiritual wealth.
